We Need You

Worshiping with our whole body.
The first time I watched ‘The Lighthouse Skit’, I was deeply and profoundly moved. The story, vividly told though choreography and movement, spoke to me more deeply than mere words and chords could. They brought the story of Christ to life. Dance has always been a biblical form of worship, done well, with the congregation either sympathetically supporting or participating, it is an art form that can move body, soul and spirit.

We are looking to connect with dancers, dance groups and choreographers from around New Zealand to develop this art form further.

Worshiping with our ears.
Today, when we say ‘worship’ we instantly think ‘music’. The reason ‘worship’ and ‘music’ are almost synonymous is because music has always been a powerful form of worship. Music inspires and unites. It speaks to us and it teaches us. Music is a precious gift that is forever growing and changing.

We’re looking for musicians who are producing music that they want to share with the rest of us in our land. Music that brings us together into the presence of God

Worshiping with our eyes.
In ancient times, great works of art were commissioned to tell the story of God and His creation. From the ceilings of great chapels to canvas and stone, artists have used these media to express the glory and wonder of God.
Today, whether it be the strokes of a brush, the click of a camera or the movements and clicks of a mouse, art and design are sill used to reflect our views of the Creator for all to see.

We want to connect with artists, painters, sculptors, carvers, digital designers, photographers and more, to help create meaningful pieces of worship in this creative form.

Worshiping within our culture and context.
Go to any church service and you’re bound to hear Bethel, Hillsong or maybe Parachute songs being used. These have become our standard songs as we gather to sing. With good reason - they product great songs. But what about you, and your church? Each church is unique, filled with unique people. Does God have a special song just for them? One that speaks directly to their context and culture?

We want to connect with local songwriters who are looking to have the compositions performed, recorded and released.
